Erica + Alex

Wedding

Erica and Alex were married on a crisp day at the Darlington House in La Jolla, California. True lovers of adventure and exploration, it only seemed natural to pull inspiration from their recent trip to Patagonia. Drawing upon its incredible landscape, we incorporated colors reminiscent of the transitional nature of deep to shallow water of Patagonia lakes, complemented by a range of neutral earth tones. Deep indigo was found splashed across paper elements created custom be Peanut Press Creative, while a soft dusty turquoise and rich sea foam shown through in the linens and lounge pieces. Bridesmaids wore a variety of stunning gowns in mauve, pinks, and grey blue, which were the perfect compliment to delicate bouquets with anemone details. In keeping with organic beauty, Plenty of Petals adorned their ceremony backdrop and aisle with freshly cut smilax and cream garden roses. One of our favorite design elements was the mixture of warm earthy woods throughout the dinner reception. Solid square wood tables from Found Vintage Rentals stole the show and paired seamlessly next to white painted wood top banquet tables. Drawn to classic design mixed with playful touches, gold rimmed champagne coupes were held up in happy-go-lucky toasts throughout the evening and sparkled against mix and match brass charger plates. Ending the evening with the sweetest of flair, Erica and Alex cut their cake as newlyweds with his Navy Sword.
